Your Board of Directors and the committees that keep Turnberry running — all of them residents who volunteer their time.
Committee chairs are appointed by the Board, and chairs select their own members. If you'd like to serve — on the Board or on any committee — write to the Board and say so.
The primary responsibility of the Architectural Review Board is to preserve the aesthetic qualities of the development and the quality of living in the community. The ARB establishes the standards with which all residents must comply, and assists in enforcing community standards within the association's architectural scheme as described in the community documents.
The ARB Chairman is appointed by the Board of Directors. The Chairman selects at least three members, and no more than five, to carry out the committee's responsibilities.
The Landscape Committee monitors, researches, and recommends community-wide landscaping improvements, changes, and additions. It identifies needs, researches options, obtains estimates, and takes its findings to the Board of Directors for approval and funding.
The committee is currently taking active steps to facilitate conformance with Florida's state-wide rules concerning Florida Friendly Landscaping ordinances.
The Pool Committee monitors the pool, the pool house, and the pool grounds, and recommends improvements, changes, and additions as necessary. The committee identifies needs, researches options, oversees securing price estimates, and takes its findings to the Board of Directors for approval and funding.
The Welcome Committee reaches out to new families on arrival and ensures they are made to feel welcome. The committee also introduces new arrivals to Florida, St. Johns County, and the City of St. Augustine government and business entities, and familiarizes them with the World Golf Village and Turnberry websites.
The Enforcement Appeals Committee acts on behalf of association members to ensure that the Covenants and Restrictions — designed to enhance the beauty and value of property within Turnberry — are fairly applied to all residents. The committee's goal is to preserve the quality of living within the community.
The committee identifies safety and security concerns, develops solutions, and implements them once directed by the Board of Directors, concerning the health, safety, and security of Turnberry residents.
The Social Committee advises and assists the Board in creating and providing social and recreational events geared to the interests and needs of the community. It also keeps homeowners informed about their association through the Turnberry website and the newsletter.
The Holiday Committee organizes seasonal decoration and celebration throughout the neighborhood, working alongside the Social Committee on community events.
The webmaster maintains the community website, publishing association documents, notices, and photography for residents.
Committee chairpersons are appointed by the Board of Directors. Each chair selects an adequate number of members to carry out the committee's responsibilities.
Day-to-day association business is handled by MAY Management Services at the direction of the Turnberry HOA Board based on the governing documents and FL Statute 720. Comments and recommendations for the Board can be sent through the contact form.
